Dr. Barry Russell Urges Tri-County’s Class of 2010 to Embrace Change

ANDERSON --- Dr. Barry Russell, president of the S.C. Technical College System, urged Tri-County Technical College’s 472 spring graduates to be willing to embrace change and to be open to lifelong learning.
“Embracing change is an undeniable necessity of lifelong learning,” said Dr. Russell. “The pace of change is rapid. Standing still is no longer an option today. “Be ready, stay curious and eager to know what comes next.”
Dr. Russell also asked the graduates to commit to something bigger than themselves. “I challenge you to find your unique calling and special purpose and commit to it with heart and soul. Find that purpose and let nothing stand in your way of achieving your accomplishments,” he said.
Following Dr. Russell’s address, he and other College officials presented degrees, diplomas and certificates to the graduates.
