Seneca Native Amanda Blanton is Dean of Enrollment Management at Tri-County Technical College

PENDLETON --- Seneca native Amanda Blanton has been named Dean of Enrollment Management for the Student Affairs Division at Tri-County Technical College. She will oversee the Admissions, Financial Aid and Records offices, along with the Education and Economic Development Act objectives, dual enrollment, and the Bridge to Clemson program.

Amanda BlantonFor the past eight years, Mrs. Blanton has been Tri-County’s Director of Collaboration, working on partnerships between the College and community agencies, including overseeing dual enrollment opportunities for high school students and the student affairs responsibilities of the Bridge to Clemson program a first-year academic experience at Tri-County designed to facilitate a seamless transition to Clemson University upon successful completion of academic requirements.

 “I look forward to working with the very talented members of the Enrollment Management team here at Tri-County and to serving our students in this new position,” said Mrs. Blanton.

Mrs. Blanton joined the College in 1998 as a Career Specialist and later became Interim Director of the Partnership for Academic and Career Education (PACE) Consortium.  She has more than 20 years of experience in education.  Prior to working at Tri-County, she served in various student affairs positions at colleges near Seattle, Washington, and in Huntsville, Alabama, and was an English instructor at Clemson University for six years.  She is also a Certified Global Career Development Facilitator and completed the South Carolina Technical College System’s Leadership Academy in 2007.  She is a member of Seneca Baptist Church.

Mrs. Blanton earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from Clemson University.  She and her husband, Rex, have one son, Brightin, and they live in Seneca.
