PENDLETON --- Tri-County Technical College joins colleges from across the state in providing assistance with college financial aid forms at an upcoming event titled “College Goal Sunday.”

Set for Saturday, February 23, (not Sunday, despite the title) this one-stop center for financial aid information will be open to students and their parents from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Student Center on the Tri-County Technical College Pendleton campus.  This is an opportunity for current and prospective college students to get assistance with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Financial aid professionals from Anderson University, Clemson University, Southern Wesleyan University and Tri-County Technical College will be on hand to help complete the necessary paperwork to get the funding needed to go to college.

“This is a great opportunity for high school seniors or continuing college students who need to complete the FAFSA for the 2008-2009 academic year.  The sooner the FAFSA application is completed, the sooner a student can find out what financial aid he or she is eligible for,” said Mary Heyer, financial aid counselor at Tri-County.

Please note that students and parents should bring their 2007 Federal tax information, along with their driver’s license, to complete the FAFSA.

For more information, contact the Tri-County Technical College Financial Aid Office at 864-646-1650.
