PENDLETON --- Tri-County Technical College’s Veterinary Technology graduates from the last 30 years will have a chance to reunite and see the great strides the program has made at the department’s 30th anniversary celebration set for Saturday, October 13.
There will be an Open House in Halbert Hall from 2 – 5:30 p.m. when alumni can get reconnected with longtime friends, tour the department’s facilities and observe demonstrations on equipment such as Pepper, the simulcast head of a grown Labrador Retriever, that serves to teach anesthesia techniques to veterinary students. The Veterinary Technology Department was the only community college in the United States chosen in 2006 to receive Pepper.
Episcopal priest Waymon Henry will be on hand from 2:30 – 3:30 to bless animals. Owners must bring animals in cages or they must be leashed.
Faculty and staff, in addition to the general public, are invited to attend. For more information contact Dr. Peggy Champion at 646-1357 or Christee Williams at 646-1358. |
