Tri-County Technical College Privacy Statement

Tri-County Technical College does not collect personal information about users of eTC. Your personal information, as displayed and accessed through eTC, is secure, however, the security of your information can be compromised if others know your user name and password, or if you allow others to view eTC pages while you have a session active. NEVER give out your username and password to others and ALWAYS logout of eTC when you are finished using it.

Personal information that you provide via email (or other online means) will be used only as required to meet your needs, which may include forwarding your request to a specific department or person at Tri-County Technical College who can respond appropriately. While your email account and activity are not monitored or otherwise supervised, you should not have an "expectation of privacy" in regard to your email account. There are circumstances where access to your email communication may be accessed by others - e.g., if a recipient forwards your message to others without your knowledge, if College technology staff are troubleshooting system problems or performing maintenance (although confidentiality in this case is still required), and/or if College or law enforcement officials determine there is a potential violation of College policy or State/federal law.

When you use eTC from an off-campus location, the College does not collect or receive information on the IP address of the machine you are using to access eTC. However, IP addresses are tracked and logged for any use of eTC (or other Internet activity) from computers on campus.

Tri-County Technical College abides by all state and federal laws governing privacy and confidentiality of records. For information on specific College policies and procedures, contact one of the following offices: Dean of Students, Dean of Instruction, or Vice President for Finance and Administrative Services. (Information for students on College procedures to comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act [FERPA], which governs student access to educational records and privacy of records, is contained in the College Catalog.)

The eTC Privacy Policy is accessible from the Login Page.
